LEROLLE Henri (1848-1929) Album amicorum "Alphonse Giroux" binding, Italian format Cover engraved "P. B." An ink drawing of a portrait of a man, signed lower right "Ph. Rourt 1943", and a Latin book page with print are included. Impressionist painter and major collector. He joined Lamothe's studio in 1864 (his teachers included Degas and Henri Régnault). He debuted at the Salon in 1868 and in 1890 joined the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, becoming one of its founders. He is represented in several museums in France and the United States.
