Several examples are known of autograph letters from Louis XIII in coded language addressed to the Maréchal de Brèze, including one dated Versailles, February 30, 1634 (for "January"), concerning Richelieu (Bergé, November 22, 2010, no. 132), and one dated Noisy, December 7, 1636, from the Albin Schram collection (Christie's London, July 3, 2007, no. 410).
