Un lot de trois manuscrits, ca. 1500-1700.

(Johannes del Rio) A varied lot of three manuscripts: -) by Antwerp chapter dean Johannes Del Rio (c. 1556-1624), brown ink on vellum, folded, with red wax seal (80 x 65 mm), dated June 1613. Mention of Albertus Miraeus, among others. Secretary's signature. Joannes del Rio, licentiate in both law, "protonotaris apostolicus" and diocesan official of the bishop of Antwerp was appointed dean of the cathedral chapter in Antwerp in 1607. In that capacity, at least two books were dedicated to him: Aubert Miraeus' Rerum toto orbe gestarum chronica (1608) and Heribert Rosweyde's Life of Martin Delrio (1609). He died in Antwerp on Jan. 5, 1624, and was buried in the cathedral. He left substantial sums to the cathedral, to the Jesuit College in Antwerp and to St. Saviour's Church in Bruges (source: Wikipedia). -) (Council of Flanders) Interest of 290 gulden on the 'Ridderstol' in Antwerp, 1566, to jonkvrouw of Karel van Herzele, lord of Lillaer. Signature by Pieter Van Beveren, clerk for the Council of Flanders. Brown ink on parchment. With original wax seal of the Council (diam.: 50 mm). -) an early 18th-century manuscript, brown ink on paper, dated 1701. Tot.: 3 pieces.
