Gozzi, Gasparo. Beautiful autograph letter signed, 2 pages in 8°, addressed to his nephew, dated '29. September 1782' in which the great Venetian man of letters speaks of the publisher Manfrè and of the printing press in general ('I believe that all the deception is now to scapolar the customs and to provide for caution') and of the Paduan botanist Giovanni Marsili: 'The only Marsili is a man of good and I am happy with him, as one is enough for me. With the others one must keep one's heart closed. Oh how many reports to the ears. Fama aliud malum quo non velocius ullum. A word spoken in the ears of one flies in a moment through all the stores'.
