Pozzo, Andrea. Perspectiva pictorum et architectorum. Rome, Giovanni Generoso Salomoni, 1758-64. In 2nd (405 x 277 mm); intaglio antiporta with portrait of the author, plate entitled "Perspectiva pictorum et architectorum ... 1693," 1 unnumbered plate and 101 numbered plates preceded by the relevant caption in Latin and Italian in the first volume, allegorical plate, figured plate and118 plates preceded by the relevant caption in Latin and Italian(missing fold-out plate 100, stains and flourishes, tear to one plate). Coeval vellum binding with gold title within cartouche on spine, splash cuts (missing on spine of first tome). Bilingual work by AndreaPozzo, printed several times since the original 1693 edition, it was the reference text for Baroque architects and painters for a century. (2)
