Modern binding in imitation of a 17th-century half-leather binding with friezes and title in gold on red gusset. Second edition following the first of 1598. Garrison & Morton 285: "first book devoted exclusively to the structure of a single species other than man" with plates inspired by Vesalius' De humani corporis fabrica.
