[The Boys of Via Panisperna]. Significant set of autographs of the group of scientists who changed nuclear physics studies forever in the 1930s. The lot is headed by a beautiful autograph letter from Enrico Fermi, 2 pages in 4°, on letterhead of the Institute of Physics in Via Panisperna, 'Rome, April 24, 1929 VII'. Two business cards follow, one with dedication and autograph signature by Bruno Pontecorvo and the other by Emilio Segrè. Accompanying the lot is an envelope franked on the first day of issue of the commemorative stamp issued Dec. 2, 1967 with the autograph signatures of Edoardo Amaldi, Oscar D'Agostino and Franco Rasetti. Beautiful set, today preserved in Plexiglas case.
