Typographic mark to title page and at end of volume, 15 woodcut figures in text byJakob Kallenberg, Bernese painter and engraver (small woodworm holes.) Eighteenth-century leather binding with gold friezes and fillets (spine anciently redone with small ironwork decoration). First work of literary importance and one of the first ever imprinted in Bern by the first printer active in the Swiss capital. Also only illustrated edition of the sixteenth-century work.
