Ablade GLOVER (b. 1934), attributed to Untitled, 1991 Oil on canvas Signed "GLO" and dated "91" lower right 60.3 x 75.5 cm Framed Condition report available on request: [email protected] Comparative works : - Van Ham sale May 05, 2019 in Cologne, p. 56 - Bonham's London sale, October 12, 2023, p. 199 NOTICE Born in Ghana in 1934, Ablade Glover studied extensively at institutions such as London's Central School of Art and Design (1959-1962) and in the United States. After completing his doctorate, he held various educational positions in Kumasi, including that of Dean of the School of Fine Arts. A well-known artist who received the Alumni Award from the African-American Institute in New York, his works are exhibited in various institutions and public places, including UNESCO headquarters in Paris and Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. His abstract knife technique translates the abundance of Ghana's homes, markets and people.
