From 1929, he settled almost permanently in Morocco, while continuing to exhibit at the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts. José Cruz Herrera remains an emblematic figure of Spanish art and an artistic bridge between Europe and North Africa. His work has been exhibited at the Galerie Georges Petit in Paris.
