[ART DECO] George BARBIER - The garland of the months Chez Meynial, Paris, 1920-1921 - The fourth and fifth years of this beautiful publication, emblematic of the Art-Déco period, entirely illustrated by George Barbier. These are the last two years of this charming almanac begun in 1917 (5 volumes published). Each year is illustrated with a title and 6 stencil-colored plates by George BARBIER. In addition to the calendar and illustrated note sheets at the end, there are numerous signed texts by René Boylesve, Gérard d'Houville, George Barbier, Albert Flament, Francis de Miomandre, Anna de Noailles, Henri de Régnier and Edmond Jaloux, The fifth year's copy is complete with its silk-covered cartonnage illustrated by George Barbier, as is the fourth year, except for the missing silk cover, which has been rebacked in muted card. Both volumes come with their original slipcases decorated with a composition by the artist. Slipcase a little soiled and browned, small accidents, boards and interior in perfect condition.
