Magnificently illustrated with 71 black figures in the text after drawings by Cousyn and Clérin, and 11 color plates outside the text under serpents after Clérin, Daumain and Faddegon. Vintage binding by Semet et Plumelle in blue half-chagrin with corners, spine with 4 raised bands, author, title and date in gilt lettering, gilt head. Original covers preserved. Joints rubbed but not severe, no cracks noted. Interior in excellent condition, one of only 600 numbered copies on Dujardin paper after 50 on Arches paper. Large in-4, 377pp (2)
