Enriched with a fine autograph dispatch from the author to the first and last volumes, to Raoul d'Arantot, dated 1860 and 1863 respectively. The author, Jules de Liron d'Airoles, a nurseryman from Anjou who settled in Nantes, remains famous for the publication of this work on apples and pears, for which there are a total of 36 plates here.
