A fine copy in period bindings, full calf with the royal coat of arms, triple framed in gilded fillets on the boards, 5-ribbed spine and boxes monogrammed with the crown, red morocco title-pieces and tomaisons. Some rubbing and light snags to headpieces and tailpieces, not serious, small crack to bottom of first bit of first volume. Gilded lacework on spandrels and edges. Complete with 12 folding tables and 24 folding plates in Volume 1 and 5 folding plates and tables in Volume 2. Very fresh inside, a few rare browned leaves, very good condition for this unusual work.
