[RELIURE AUX ARMES] Royal Almanac for the year 1786 Chez d'Houry à Paris, 1786 - A fine copy of this royal almanac. Bound in full red morocco, with unidentified arms on the boards (crown and three rhombuses stamped in the center), quintuple framing of fillets and angular fleurons, 5-ribbed spine with fleur-de-lys on the caissons and red morocco title-pieces. Good overall condition, some sunning and rubbing, two corners slightly damaged. Gilt edges. Fresh interior, tissue paper endpapers a little soiled. Label "a la teste noire" opposite title page. In-8, 700pp. Fine specimen of armorial binding.

Full contemporary red morocco, boards richly decorated with central arms (3 trefoils with a chevron), corresponding to several families (Barthelot (Barthelot de Murseau) or Berthelot, Lynch, Lynch-Blosse (En, Irl), Cupif (Cupif de la Robinnaye), Tardif (Tardif de Boisseaucoeur) or Gaillon). 5-rib spine richly decorated with fleur-de-lys motifs, roulette on edges, interior lace, light-blue moire endpapers, all edges gilt. Binding in excellent condition, which is rare. Excellent condition inside. An exceptional binding for the collector.
