In-8°, brown half-chagrin with corners, five-ribbed spine decorated with shells, titles and owner's name, cover preserved. Illustrated with 125 hors-texte engravings and a map. A very fine copy, despite some rubbing and a small accident, with a letter from the author "A Monsieur Auguste Greiner / en souvenir de mon séjour à / Liège / Christiania, 27 mars 1914", to which is attached a photo postcard (portrait of the author signed by himself) and an admission card to the author's February 13, 1914 lecture at the Société Belge d'études coloniales.
