A BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN BOWL WITH FARMERS, YUTANG JIAQI MARK, SHUNZHI PERIOD A BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN BOWL WITH FARMERS, YUTANG JIAQI MARK, SHUNZHI PERIOD China, 1644-1661. Expressively painted in underglaze blue with a farmer carrying an umbrella and another farmer riding a buffalo. The interior decorated at the well with sprouting greens and insects enclosed by double lines. The recessed base with a four-character Yutang Jiaqi mark within double lines and of the period. Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1970 and has remained in the family ever since. Condition: Good condition with some wear, a hairline to the upper rim, light surface scratches, and firing flaws including uneven glazing. Weight: 150 g Dimensions: Diameter 11.4 cm
