Michael ZICHY (1827-1906). Liebe, circa 1915. 17 plates, all matted, 29 x 24.5 cm per sheet. Portfolio in black percaline, embossed with the artist's name on the first cover, while the title Liebe does not appear. Originally from Hungary, Michael von Zichy was a pupil of Waldmüller, and his series on the hunt at Gatchina, commissioned by the Russian Tsar, made him a court artist. He is remembered for his erotic watercolors.
