It is signed "Franz Eisgrueber Fecit Prag". The plate, also engraved with a female figure under a crown, supports the hour stamp and a fourteen-stamp chime. Prague, 18th century (restorations). It is housed in an architectural case in red-tinted tortoiseshell and rosewood veneer; the sides are decorated with pierced brass reserves; small skate feet (restorations).
