Tempera painting on chalk ground and wood, two vertical back pontics (upper one missing), depictions of "Mother of God soothe my sorrow" (on gold ground), "Mother of God seeking out the forsaken" (nimbuses and details of the clothing gilded), "Mother of God soothing the tormented" (on a gold background), "Mother of God softening the evil hearts" (on a gold background), Cyrillic tituli of the depictions above and below, ancient Greek inscription "MHP" and "ΘY" on the respective left and right corners of the picture or Nimbus of the Mother of God, notes by the icon painter in lead and incised on the reverse.
