Gold watch with automaton of two jaquemarts and hour repeater. Striking triggered by pushing on the pendant. Dial with Arabic numerals. Bordered with blue enamel and featuring an allegory of love at the bottom. Circa 1820. Signed on the bowl. Diameter : 55 mm. Weight : 121 g. Fine quality. Literature: Reinhard Meis, "Les montres de poche", Paris, p.144. Provenance: Private collection of Belgian watch historian Eddy Fraiture.
