A large porcelain flower pot, Samson, 19th century. Manufacture's mark under the base. 35 CM - DIAM. 42, CM - 13.7 X 16.5 IN. The Samson factory flourished over four generations in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Their production reflects their interest in ancient ceramics and Chinese porcelain. The factory enjoyed great success at the 1867 and 1889 World's Fairs.
