STIPULA "Da Vinci Foco" STYLOGRAPHIC PLUMA. Body in red ebonite and silver ornamentation. Limited edition. Exemplary 121/193. Nib in 18 kts. white gold. M tip. Screw cap. Cartridge loading. No box. Unused. Slight deterioration in the metallic areas. Measurements: 10 cm. length. It is based on the Stipula Da Vinci model, which is in itself an interesting mechanical creation, as it is a medium-sized Safety Pen without cap. To reveal its tip, the user must twist the body and grip of the pen; gradually, a window on the front of the pen opens and the tip is revealed. Battaglia di Anghiari is made of reddish brown ebonite and silver. It has a nib made of 14-karat white gold and a blister or pump filling system. To access the filling system, disconnect the body from the pen grip by pulling the 2 parts. The Italian firm Stipula is based in Florence, cradle of artists and craftsmen. It recovers the tradition of using celluloid, a very unstable and difficult material to manufacture, but once achieved it is very attractive, non-allergic and very durable.
