Nicolaus Copernicus was born in Poland on February 19, 1473 and died on May 24, 1543. He was the astronomer who formulated the first Heliocentric Theory of the Solar System. he is one of the key figures of the scientific revolution in the Renaissance era. Copernicus, a great scholar of the scientific revolution, was a mathematician, astronomer, jurist, physicist, Catholic clergyman, governor, administrator, military leader, diplomat and economist.
