The front finely carved with the hair combed back, the curls falling sideways from the cheeks. The forehead slightly frowning, the brow furrowed. The eyes widened, the mouth open. Remnants of antique paint. The red of the hair and lips clearly discernible. Completely assembled and restored from several fragments. Minute imperfections, which have been filled, on the undeveloped back of the head only. Impressive terracotta from the Greece of Asia Minor. Height approx. 17.5 cm. Provenance: Belgian private collection, acquired in the Belgian art trade during the 1990s. Condition: II -

A German Landsknecht costume from the Kasseler Fundus, after 1909 Elaborate costume made of green and reddish-brown wool fabric, consisting of a beret, doublet, pluder pants, a pair of tights to wear underneath and a pair of high leather lace-up shoes. All pieces are made in the style of 16th century slit fashion and partly lined with linen of a different color. The lining of the trousers bears numerous stamps from the Kassel collection. Signs of age and wear, partially worn and in need of repair. Condition: II - III
