Eines von 999 nummerierten Exemplaren. - Sehr guter Zustand. - Dieser Atlas wurde um 1542 in Venedig für König Heinrich VIII. (1491-1547) erstellt und wurde von Battista Agnese (ca. 1500-1564) geschaffen. Er gilt als einer der versiertesten und produktivsten Kartographen des 16. Jahrhunderts und erhielt zahleiche Aufträge für Atlanten von europäischen Herrschern, wie auch 1542 vom englischen König Heinrich VIII. Alle Teile dieses Atlas sind aufeinander bezogen, sie verbinden die Eroberungen, Neuentdeckungen und Abenteuer der Menschheit zu einer universellen Struktur.
