The seal surface crowned by laurel leaf tendrils under a seven-pointed crown with an alliance coat of arms with a lion and a ram's horn. Gilded silver handle with final eyelet. A weathercock made of gilded copper, probably French, 19th century Sheet copper, gilded. Impressive figure of a crowing cock. The body with elaborate plumage merging into the luxuriant tail (somewhat bent in places) and rubbed in keeping with its age. One of the strong claws has come apart at the seam, the screws missing in places. Axle present. Exceptionally decorative specimen! Total height approx. 142 cm. Condition: II -
