Der Text enthält die wichtigsten Angaben zu jeder Art mit lateinischem und französischem Namen, Beschreibung des jeweiligen Baumes und seines geographischen Herkunftsgebiets, der Dichte des Holzes und dessen Verwendung. - Andre Thil war während der 3. Republik bis zu seiner Pensionierung im Jahr 1911 einer der führenden Förster in Paris. Er ist der Autor von zwei Werken über Dendrologie. Das erste ist mit 100 Proben französischen Bäumen gewidmet und wurde 1895 veröffentlicht. Das zweite Werk erschien 1904 mit 120 Mustern, darunter exotische Hölzer aus Japan, Indien, Australien, Reunion, Guinea und Mittelamerika. - Insg. ordentlich erhalten. The text contains the most important information on each species with its Latin and French name, a description of the tree and its geographical area of origin, the density of the wood and its use. - Andre Thil was one of the leading foresters in Paris during the 3rd Republic until his retirement in 1911. He is the author of two works on dendrology. The first is dedicated to French trees with 100 specimens and was published in 1895. The second work appeared in 1904 with 120 specimens, including exotic woods from Japan, India, Australia, Reunion, Guinea and Central America. - Overall good condition.
