A Roman bust of a woman in black glass, 2nd century A.D. Superlative sculpted bust of a woman with a naked torso, made of black glass. The underside with an iron pin to attach it to the surface. The head facing slightly to the top left. Her hair parted in the center, the long top and sides braided into a ribbon and tied together at the back of the head in a knot. The features finely delineated. Slightly corroded on the surface. Height including iron pin 9.6 cm. Provenance: From a private Munich collection. Inherited from the consignor's late father, who acquired it in the art trade during the 1970s or 80s. Condition: II +

Half of a stone mold for a spearhead, late Bronze Age, 12th - 9th century B.C. Half of a mold carved in rock, in the shape of a trapezoid. A rectangular nub at the bottom in the middle on both sides, which was used to secure the missing other half mold. On the upper side of the mold, showing the incised form for a bronze spearhead, a hole for fixing pins to ensure the exact fit with the non-existent counterpart can be seen above and below the indentation. Tip of the mold broken off. The socket was probably hammered from the casting plug at the end of the lance. Four casting channels on each side of the recess for the spearhead. The inside of the mold blackened by use. Interesting, prehistoric technical tool in good condition. Length 7.5 cm. Provenance: From a private South German collection. Inherited from the consignor's late grandfather, who died 30 years ago. Condition: II

Lange of Wuppertal, bearer of the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. Handwritten card (tr.) "Enclosed is a commemorative photo of my late brother. Friedrich Christian. 19.9.43. Dresden". An image of the Prince in old age, approx. 1968. Four postcards sent to Lange by Prince Christian. Handwritten thank-you card from his brother Prince Georg of Saxony (21 October 1937) and four other cards from Prince Georg, sent in or after 1936. Commemorative photograph of Prof. Dr. Prinz Max, Duke of Saxony (1951). Handwritten card from Elisabeth Helene, daughter of Albert von Thurn und Taxis and wife of Friedrich Christian (1969). Eight typewritten thank-you notes from the 1950s and 60s, each bearing Prince Friedrich Christian's original signature in ink. A completely handwritten postcard from the Prince, dated September 17, 1964. Numerous autographs etc. In clear plastic folders in a new ring binder (measuring 28 x 23 x 4 cm). Signs of age and handling. Prince Friedrich Christian was the second son of Frederick Augustus III, the last King of Saxony, and his wife Louisa of Tuscany. He became head of the House of Wettin on his father's death in 1932. Condition: II
