A set of six Chinese Imari-style cups and saucers from the Nanking cargo, Qianlong

A pair of German arm defenses from a suit of armour, assembled from 16th century components Large pauldrons of five articulated lames with six fullers. High flanges along the top on both sides, the rear panels in openwork. A row of lining holes around the edge. Open rerebraces, large couters with triple fluting, edged with finely turned and roped flanges. The closed vambraces opening on a hinge. One interior has been lost, the surviving piece decorated with lozenge-shaped perforations. Individual pieces are slightly deformed, the leather lining and rivets damaged in places. The surfaces with a dark age patina and filmed with oil, in need of cleaning. Length of each circa 70 cm. Provenance: Formerly in the Collection from the Royal House of Hanover at Schloss Marienburg. Condition: II - III

Order of the Iron Crown - a Breast Star 1st Class with war decoration Faceted breast star in silver, gold and enamel. The front with an elaborately worked medallion, a crown and inscription around the edge on a deep blue background. The wreath of the war decoration around the edge. The hallmarks "C.F. Rothe", "A", "A" on the back of the bulbous vertical pin (bent slightly inwards) and a lozenge-shaped stamp, the "greyhound head" and "A" on the back of the medallion. Signs of age and wear. Width 9.1 cm, weight 83 g. A rare find in beautiful condition. Condition: II
