Large and decorative Italian family tree of the Stella (Della)-Scorzosi family, descendants of the Sienese Pietro Scotti, who was enfeoffed and endowed with Monticchiello (Monte Suchiello) in 1397. Other sources describe that Monticchiello was sold to Florence for 2,000 florins during a conflict with Florence and Montepulciano and remained under their control until 1401, when a peace treaty returned it to the possession of Siena. The members of the family came from or spread to Murello, Florence and Arezzo. (cf. E. Repetti, Dizionario geografico fisico storico della Toscana. III, 564.) - The family tree emerges from the lap of an ancestor figure, framed on each side by a floral frame, and is crowned by a coat of arms with floral decoration, inscribed in two text fields. - Traces of an old restoration.
