Im Deckel der Kassette ist ein aufwendiges Replikat einer Schnitzarbeit aus Bein mit kunstvoll durchbrochenen, teilweise bemalten Schmuckplatten eingelassen. Dieses heute in der Erzabtei St. Peter in Salzburg verwahrte Kunstwerk schmückt den Einband eines Evangeliars aus der Salierzeit aus dem 12. Jahrhundert und bietet damit die passende Hülle für das Echternacher Evangelistar (Verlagswerbung). With 41 gold-decorated miniatures and 13 sumptuous pages of initial decoration. 2 vols.
