His meditative, proud posture, seated with dignity, is superbly contrasted with the fluidity of his curved limbs, smoothing their folded movement. The entire surface of her body is engraved with a sublime decoration of circles and volutes. Harry Beran (Betel-Chewing Equipment of East New Guinea, 1988) notes that this type of decoration is extremely rare.
