RUSSIA, early 20th century. Icon of the Mother of God from Kazan. Chromolithograph on wood, in a beautiful 84 zolotniks (875 thousandths) silver and vermeil oklad, the nimbus set with 5 amethyst cabochons and the corners set with 4 garnet cabochons, the back lined with red silk. Presented in its kiot. Moscow, 1908-1917. Goldsmith: most probably Ivan MNEKINE. Dimensions of icon : 23.5 x 20.5 cm. Size of kiot : 26 x 22.5 cm. Expert : Maxime CHARRON
