Silver.chased.covered chalice resting on a baluster shaft, the central node decorated with three medallions in relief depicting Christ, the Virgin and Saint Peter, resting on a pedestal with appliqué decoration of winged cherubs and a frieze of laurel leaves. The lid is topped with a cross. Italy, possibly Bologna, early 19th century. Old restorations to the base of the cross. (Pds 397.5g)
