RANVIER CHARTIER Lucie (1867-1932) Essaouira. Oil on panel signed lower left. 20 x 30 cm. Lucie RANVIER-CHARTIER (1867-1932): Studied under Baschet and Paul Thomas. In 1906, she won first prize for a poster on Tunisia, where she was to spend some time. In 1911, she became a member of the Salon des Artistes Français. In 1918 she lost her father, a curator at the Ministry of Finance, and her husband, an architect. From 1922 to 1931, she worked as a painter in Morocco.
