Map of the environs of Paris, before 1812. Linen map by the merchant Jean Goujon, in marbled paper folder and case. Label on map and slipcase. Map in very good condition, case a little damaged. A note reads: "Madame d'Estampes née Joly de Fleury. Purchased June 1812. 9 francs". This was François Joly de Fleury (1742-1837), wife of Louis d'Estampes and, above all, daughter of Omer Joly de Fleury, a Jansenist militant involved in the suppression of the order in the 18th century.
