IRVING HENRY: (1838-1905) English stage actor. A good vintage signed and inscribed sepia 8 x 10 photograph, the image (5.25 x 4) depicting Irving seated in a three-quarter length pose. Signed by the actor in fountain pen ink to the lower photographer´s mount, ´Mrs Arthur Foxwell from Henry Irving, with kindest greeting´ and dated 1905 in his hand. Some light age wear, largely to the edges of the photographer´s mount and with a few minor bumps to the corners, G The present photograph was most likely inscribed for Lisette Foxwell, wife of Arthur Foxwell (1853-1909) English physician.
