[BORN FREE]: JAFFE SAM (1901-2000) American film producer, agent and studio executive who represented many stars including Clara Bow, Marlene Dietrich and Humphrey Bogart. Jaffe later produced the British drama film Born Free (1966). A good vintage signed and inscribed sepia 10 x 8.5 photograph of the young Jaffe in a head and shoulders pose. Photograph by Eugene Robert Richee for Paramount Pictures and bearing his credit stamp to the verso. Signed by Jaffe in bold pencil to a largely light area of the background with an inscription to Clara Bow, ´To Clara, I hope I won´t spoil you by telling you that I think you will be the biggest star on the screen, Sam Jaffe´ and dated 9th September 1926 in his hand. A fine signed photograph with an excellent association. VG Clara Bow (1905-1965) American actress who became known as the ´It Girl´ and was regarded as a sex symbol who personified the Roaring Twenties.
