HOWARD LESLIE: (1893-1943) English actor, remembered for his portrayal of Ashley Wilkes in Gone with the Wind (1939). Vintage signed sepia 8 x 10 photograph of Howard in a head and shoulders pose in costume as Peter Standish from the American fantasy drama film Berkeley Square (1933). Signed by the actor in fountain pen ink to a largely clear area of the image. It was for his performance in this role that Howard was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar.
