STREEP MERYL: (1949- ) American Actress, Academy Award winner. Signed 8 x 10 photograph, a close-up portrait of the actress in costume as Linda from the classic war drama film The Deer Hunter (1978). Signed by Streep in bold black ink with her name alone to a clear area at the base of the image. It was for her role in this film that Streep received her first (of a record 21) Academy Award nominations. A pencil note in the hand of a collector to the verso indicates that the signature was obtained in person on 27th February 1979 following a Broadway performance of Taken in Marriage at the Public Theatre.
