MALAYSIA Beautiful present-day Javanese dagger, called "Kriss", with carved natural wood handle. At the base of the handle, a ferrule adorned with geometric motifs composed of rose-cut diamonds in a row. Wavy, double-edged blade in pamor steel, richly damascened with gold. Wooden scabbard covered with a low-title gold sheath decorated with leafy foliage. Early 20th century Total length 48.5 cm Minor wear to the scabbard.
