RESISTANCE. Set of decorations and documents relating to Pierre BARUZY, veteran of WW1, then fighter in 1940 and finally Resistance fighter in the BUCKMASTER network, Knight's Cross of the Legion of Honor, Cross of the 1914-1917 Combatant with Palm, Cross of the Wounded, Cross of the 1939-1945 Combatant and Volunteer Combatant, Medal of the Liberators 1944 and rare "Medal of Freedom" with diploma awarded to him for his action in the escape of American pilots in the BUCKMASTER network. Attached are a number of documents, decoration diplomas, cards, booklets, certificates, service records and a signed photo of President RONALD REAGAN (35X27 cm). Count Pierre BARUZY (1897-1994) , Born in Amiens, son of an officer, he volunteered for the dragoons and then the air force during the 14-18 war, where he was seriously wounded twice. A French boxing champion, he won 11 French championship titles between 1922 and 1935. In 1941, he was a Paris city councillor, and in 1942 joined the Buckmaster network, attached to the Jean-Marie network, with which he escaped 11 Allied pilots, earning him the "Medal of Freedom" awarded by Eisenhower in 1945 and then by President Reagan in 1984.
