JAPAN, Satsuma kilns - MEIJI period (1868 - 1912) Porcelain bowl with polychrome and gold enamel decoration of peacocks in foliage and flowers near a river. The outer rims are decorated in registers with landscapes alternating with fan motifs. On the reverse, the 'Satsuma' mark under the 'Shimazu' mon (gold enamel wear). Diam. 18.5 cm
