Altar shrine with St. John of Nepomuk, the shrine attributed to Leonhard Sattler (1676 - 1744) Austria, ca. 1725 51 x 35 cm The shrine of finely carved lime wood, painted and gilt. Base with four pedestals for miniature figures, rich volute and rocaille decoration in the background. Canopy with imitation fabric, the two front columns decorated with foliage. On the front pedestals two later putti, in the display case a St. John Nepomuk figure, full-round work. Rest, missing parts, age damage. Collection Edmund Löwe, Munich An altar of the same form with a figure of Mary and Saints is preserved in the Museum Liebighaus, Frankfurt.
