House altar of the Schiffsleut Brotherhood with St. John Nepomuk and St. Nicholas Inn Valley, ca. 1740 63 x 35 cm Pine wood, carved, painted and partly gilded. Depiction of St. John of Nepomuk and St. Nicholas. At the base slightly concave plaque with the depiction of a striped boat, the so-called Innplätte with two oarsmen. Rest. Age damaged Collection Edmund Löwe, Munich The depiction in the base shows a traditional barge as it was sailed by shipmen on the Inn, the so-called Innplätte. The type was particularly widespread in the upper Inn valley as far as Tyrol and is also often depicted as a full-sculpture model on processional poles of the brotherhood of shipmen. Cf.
