Hippeli, Johann Caspar (attr.) Franken, 18. Jahrhundert H. 58/62 cm St. John Nepomuk in Gloriae. The Saint in a blessing pose with his cap in his hand standing in front of a double corona decorated with putto heads and cloud elements. Upper halo with putto, crowned by the 5 stars. Slender rocaille base on plinth. Limewood, polychromy, silvered and gilded. The polychromy later overpainted and with lacquer coating. Rest, minor missing parts and rep Collection Edmund Löwe, Munich, acquired before 1980 In the Bozzetti collection of the Museum für Franken (formerly Mainfränkisches Museum) in Würzburg there is an almost identical Johannes Nepomuk in front of a two-storey radiant wreath with putti and cloud elements, attributed to Johann Caspar Hippeli
