Karl Hetz, attr., Am Alpensee View from the tree-lined shore with a woman gazing into the distance, on a lake situated between steeply rising mountains, watercolour and opaque colours, ligatured monogram and dated "1883" lower right, brown stains, matted and framed behind glass, mat cut-out approx. 30 x 23 cm. Artist information: actually Johann Karl Hetz, German painter and draughtsman (1828 Kulmbach - 1899 Munich), moved to Munich in 1858, studied at the academy in Munich from 1860, worked as a professor at the royal trade school from 1868-93, annual study trips to southern Europe, many of his genre paintings were published in the Gartenlaube, source: Thieme-Becker, Boetticher and Wikipedia.

Erwin Oehme, attr., "Bei Landeck" View of a river flowing through a wide valley with steeply rising mountains and a castle enthroned on a rocky spur, pencil drawing in various shades of grey on paper, 2nd half 19th century, inscribed in the upper left corner "b. Landeck", on the reverse inscribed in pencil "E. F. Oehme", authorship by Erwin Oehme more likely, slightly browned and minimally stained, mounted under passepartout, sheet dimensions approx. 19 x 12.5 cm. Artist information: actually Ernst Erwin Oehme, German landscape and genre painter. Landscape and genre painter (1831 Dresden - 1907 Dresden-Blasewitz), son and pupil of Ernst Ferdinand Oehme, studied at the Dresden Academy, where he was a pupil of Ludwig Richter, undertook study trips through Germany, France, England and Switzerland, involved in the painterly decoration of the Dresden Semperoper, Neustädter Schauspielhaus and Albrechtsburg Castle in Meissen, appointed honorary member of the Dresden Academy in 1864, appointed professor of landscape drawing at the architecture department of the Royal Polytechnic (TU) Dresden in 1887, active in Dresden Source: Thieme-Becker, Boetticher and Wikipedia.

Isadore Ressler, attr., Landscape Idyll Light summer landscape with large gnarled olive trees on the roadside in front of the village with farm boys and a woman resting in the shade of the trees, between the trees a view of a village lying in the valley, as noted in an article in the "DETROIT JEWISH CHRONICLE" of 4 July 1941: "... Very few art exhibitions shown in Detroit during the past 25 years have been without the works of the modest, friendly and kindly Isadore Ressler. Mr Ressler, who has been an artist for more than half a century, is small in stature, but always looms large when his works reveal the genius of the man. ... His landscape studies are impressive ...
