A MEDIEVAL COPPER AND BRONZE CRUCIFIX probably France, 14th century 73 x 48 cm Copper cross engraved on both sides with remnants of gilding. On the front plant motifs and spaces for the body of Christ and other figures and appliqués. Copper plaque with blue opaque enamel mounted on the upper crossbeam. On the reverse side depiction of the Salvator Mundi, an angel and the Evangelists. On the front mounted cast and gilt bronze figures of Corpus Christi, mourning Mary and John of cast. Wear, losses, age damages, partly traces of lead solder. Old Private Collection, Stuttgart
