A LARGE FRENCH EMPIRE PENDULE circa 1820 38 x 47 x 16 cm Fire-gilt bronze case with relief decoration and sculptural depiction of a putto in a chariot with two horses. Enamelled dial ring with Roman numerals and blued steel hands integrated into the chariot. Parisian movement with 8-day running time, half-hour striking on bell and thread suspension of the pendulum. Rest. Additions, movement not tested. Surface with traces of age.
